Symanzik's field theory on p-adic spaces

Description
We describe Symanzik's representation of scalar models on discretized p-adic spaces and the way it can be used to derive heuristic and rigorous results concerning their critical behavior. We check these results in the case of hierarchical models and point out their relevance for more conventional problems. (orig.)
