Description

A description is given of the plans for an on-line isotope separator facility intended for the Swiss Meson Factory SIN at Villigen. The installation is designed to accept a beam of 590 MeV protons with an intensity of up to 100 μA. This installation could produce mass-separated radioactive beams of 100 nA (corresponding to 20 Ci of one isotope at saturation) for the most abundant reaction products. (orig.)
