Copper quantitative determination in soils and rocks by the spectrophotometric method
Description
Rocks samples were collected and processed according to newly published techniques. Copper standard solutions were freshly prepared in the laboratory. Copper qualitative analysis was carried out by paper chromatography, using n-butanol in 4N hydrochloric acid as the mobile phase and rubeanic acid, as developer. Quantitative analyses by spectrophotometry at 435 nm revealed that copper concentrations varied from 10 to 560 ppm in the analysed samples. (C.L.B.)

Foram coletadas e processadas, amostras de rochas, segundo tecnicas recentemente recomendadas na literatura. Solucoes padroes de cobre foram preparadas em laboratorio. A analise qualitativa do cobre foi feita por cromatografia em papel utilizando-se n-butanol em acido cloridrico 4N como fase movel e acido rubeanico como revelador. As analises quantitativas, por espectrofotometria a 435 nm, mostraram uma variacao de 10 a 560 ppm de cobre nas amostras analisadas. (C.L.B.)Additional details
