Biological ionizing radiation effects on gonads. Pt. 6. Maturation of the seminiferous epithelium in mice after irradiation during foetal development
Description
The maturation of the seminiferous epithelium after irradiation with 50 rads of X-rays on the 17th day of foetal development was investigated. There are relatively little quantitative changes in cell populations of cords and afterwards of tubules as far as the 14th day of life. But the late lesions were distinct, when the maturated testis was transformed into a mature one. These lesions were manifested still at the 60th day of life. (author)
