Description

Using mathematic expressions it is shown how one can determine the metal corrosion rate under cathode polarization. The experiments are conducted using samples of low-carbon 08KP steel in the oilfield waste water. It is shown that measuring the polarization resistance by corrosion-meter when the protective current is disconnected, one can determine the steel corrosion rate in highly mineralized neutral solutions under cathodic protection conditions
