e+e- production of heavy quarks in the string model
Description
The string model of Artru and Mennessier (Nucl. Phys. B70,93(1974)) predicts that the fragmentation functions for mesons containing heavy quarks are concentrated near fractional momentum z approx.= to 1, with width approx.= to 1/μ where μ is the mass of the heavy quark. (author)
