Investigation into diagrams composition-long-term hardness of molybdenum alloys having interstitial phases
Description
The long-time hardness at elevated temperature of molybdenum Mo-TiC, Mo-ZrC, Mo-TiN alloys with various volumetric content of carbides and nitrides was studied. Presented are a composition vs. hardness diagram and the characteristic structures of the investigated alloys. Consideration of the composition vs. long-time hardness diagrams has indicated that the content of the second phase answering the maximum long-time hardness at given temperature depends on the type of the strengthening interstitial phase
