Simulations. 3D nuclear reactions

Description

At CEA Saclay, the research programme for the forth generation of nuclear reactors, named 'Astrid' (Advanced Sodium Technological Reactor for Industrial Demonstration) of the Direction of nuclear energy (DEN), uses 2D or 3D movies and a 16 m2 image wall for the display of simulation results. This digest paper focusses on the technological means used for the simulations: the Curie supercomputer designed by Bull and the images display device. (J.S.)
