Impact of neutron irradiation on mechanical performance of FeCrAl alloy laser-beam weldments

  • 1. Oak Ridge National Laboratory, P.O. Box 2008, Oak Ridge, TN 37831-6136 (United States)

Description

Highlights: • Weldments of oxidation-resistant FeCrAl alloys were irradiated in a temperature range of 195–559 °C to ∼1.8–1.9 dpa. • Mechanical behavior was investigated before and after irradiation for nonwelded and welded samples. • Local yield stress (LYS) and true stress–true strain curves are presented and discussed.
