Description

The article describes a method of separation of Pu-241 and Np-237 from model samples using extraction chromatography, it involves a treatment of oxidation level of plutonium and neptunium, followed by separation and radiochemical determination. We used for separation commercially available extraction sorbents DGA Resin and TEVA Resin from the company Eichrom using 242Pu tracer to monitor chemical extracts. Alpha spectrometry was used for determination of the activity of radionuclides. Extraction chromatography is a reliable technique for the determination of actinides in soil samples and it is more efficient method than conventional radiochemical methods. (authors)
