Description
A theoretical analysis is made of the influence of the isotopic mass of atoms on the superconducting transition temperature of metals. It is shown that the Brout (rather than jellium) model accounts for the isotopic effect of some transition metals (specifically Ru, Re, Os, and Ir). The case of α-U is discussed specifically
