Description

Scale-up of the carbon isotope separation process by the method of isotopically selective multiphoton dissociation of freon-22 (CF2HCl) molecules during irradiation of pulse-periodical CO2-laser with 65W mean output power is carried out. A laser separation reactor of a new design with multiple gas pumping through a radiation zone is used in experiments. CF2HCl quantities in grams enriched by 12C upto 99.99% are prepared. Formation of a by-product - C2F3H, which is due to accumulation in the reactor volume of such a dissociation product as HCl, was detected. It is possible to prevent the C2F3H when using the slaked lime as an absorption of HCl
