Study on Saturn by Pioneer space probe

The survey of results of investigations of the magnetosphere, atmosphere and inner structure of the Saturn, its rings and satellites and atmosphere of the Titanus is given on the basis of the data of the ''Pioneer'' space probe having flied near the Saturn on 1.09.1979. The Saturn atmosphere is a thick foggy layer with few observable objects where some similitude of jet flows is observed. The particle distribution in the A and B rings is evidently bimodal. The rings consist of dirty snowballs of approximately 6 cm radius formed by initial accretion, while smaller fragments fill the Cassini division and the C ring. The F ring, obviously, consists of small satellites mainly. This is, evidently, time for the G ring, discovered by Van Allen, which is located just outside the F ring at the 2.52Rsub(s) (1Rsub(s)=60000 km) distance from the Saturn centre. The E ring, discovered by Feibelman, can be observed even during terrestrial observations. It is located at a distance of 4 and 6 Rsub(s), approximately in the region, where trapped radiation is strongly absorbed and plasma exists - in the so-called slit magnetosphere region
