The main efforts on mesonic atoms for 1981 have been on experiments at LAMPF and BNL. These experiments mainly involve measuring the x-ray transitions from pionic isotopes like hydrogen, chromium, scandium, vanadium, manganese, and iron. Details of these measurements and equipment use are discussed in this paper
