Pericaval venous intravasation in the changed indication of hysterosalpingography

Description
Today the indication of hysterosalpingography is supplied via radiography in the diagnosis of female infertility patients. Hence, a different group of patients is now selected in contrast to the previous indications. The venous intravasation in uterine and adnexial vessels among infertility patients was observed in only 0.4% of our cases. The relationship between the changed indication, the technique of HSG, the changed permeability of the vessels after surgery, and the rare occurrence of intravasation is discussed. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Die heutige Indikation zur Hysterosalpingographie besteht in der Diagnostik von Sterilitaetspatientinnen. Gegenueber frueheren Indikationsstellungen ergibt sich deshalb eine andere Patientinnenselektion. Ein perikavaler Kontrastmitteluebertritt in die venoesen Uterus- und Adnexgefaesse wurde von uns bei Sterilitaetspatientinnen nur noch in 0,4% der Faelle gesehen. Der Zusammenhang mit der veraenderten Indikationsstellung, der Technik der HSG und einer veraenderten Gefaesspermeabilitaet nach chirurgischen Eingriffen und dem geringen Auftreten des perikavalen Kontrastmittelinfluxes wurde diskutiert.
