Description
Proposals for the long-term disposal of radioactive wastes are discussed. Several sites in the US are being considered for disposal of these wastes in different geologic media. It is concluded that the technology for the permanent disposal of nuclear wastes has existed for many years and that political decisions necessary to implement these technologies are also coming into being
