Recommendations: Postal audit within the quality system in dental radiodiagnosis

Description

A procedure for independent audit of selected parameters of intraoral detal X-ray equipment, developed by the Czech National Radiation Protection Institute for the Czech nuclear authority, is described. The method is based on thermoluminescent and film dosimetry. A simple dosimetric kit with instructions for use are sent by mail to the user of the X-ray instrument. The user is obliged to carry out the procedures specified and send the kit back for evaluation. (P.A.)
