Investigation of fluxes of galactic cosmic heavy nuclei according to measurements at near-Earth orbits of satellites in 1974-1984

Description

Consecutive calculation analysis of nuclear spectrum transformation in galactic cosmic rays in the energy range from 50 to 1000 MeV/nucleon during penetration of particles inside the Earth magnetosphere on quasicircular orbits of near the Earth satellites is performed. Density of energy linear transfer caused by nuclei in cellulose nitrate, exposed behind protective screens of different thicknesses, was calculated. The calculation results were compared with experimental data on the measurement of track density in dielectric track detectors, exposed on the orbits of satellites in 1974-1985. The reverse problem - according to the results of track density measurement data on heavy nuclei flux modulation beyond the Earth magnetosphere are obtained - is solved
