Description
The geologic survey on the Barberton Mountain Land concentrated on the geologic strata, stratigraphy, metamorphsim and mineralization of the region. Isotope dating was used to determine the ages of various rocks. It was the intention on this excursion to point out and examine some of the more importent aspects that have emerged from the Barberton studies and to attempt an evaluation of the significance of the observations in terms of models relating to the evolution of the earth
