Description
Reaction kinetics of the formation of strontium hexaferrite (SrFe12O19) from SrCO3 and Fe2O3 by reactive sintering has been studied at temperatures between 600 and 15000C. It was found that the reaction proceeds in two steps. At temperatures between 660 and 7300C the formation of intermediate compounds takes place and between 810 and 10000C the formation of SrFe12O19. At temperatures greater than 13000C the thermal decomposition of SrFe12O19 was observed
