Effects of silver doping upon the physical properties of La0.7Sr0.3-x Ag x MnO3 manganese oxide

Description
We present the effect of Ag doping upon structural and magnetic properties in La0.7Sr0.3-x Ag x MnO3 for x=0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15 and 0.2. Our samples have been elaborated using the solid-state reaction at high temperature. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns show that our powder samples are single phase and crystallize in the rhombohedral distorted structure with R3-barc space group. The unit cell volume increases with increasing Ag content from 348.4 A3 for x=0 to 354.4 A3 for x=0.2. Magnetization measurements vs. temperature show that all our samples exhibit a paramagnetic-ferromagnetic transition with decreasing temperature. The Curie temperature T C decreases from 365 K for x=0 to 286 K for x=0.2
