Assessment of radiation exposure levels
Creators

Description
Exposures from radiation sources have been extensively studied. The sensitivity of radiation detection instruments is high, and measurements have been made in most all inhabited regions of the world. Data available from all countries have been complied and evaluated by the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR). The global assessment of radiation exposures are periodically presented to the General Assembly and published in a series of United Nations reports. The summary of radiation exposure levels in this paper is drawn mainly from the latest such report, the UNSCEAR 1993. 4 refs, 4 tabs
