Description
The behaviour of the resonances of a one-dimensional square well with a squarre barrier is investigated as a function of the width of the barrier. A non-monotonic dependence of resonance energy and width on the width of the barrier is found. Implications of these results for the interpretation of resonances near deuteron thresholds in nuclear reactions are discussed
