Dwarf satellite galaxies and radiative decay of elementary particles composing massive galactic halos

The particles of small but finite rest mass that might form halos around galaxies could decay radiatively to ultraviolet (hν>13.6 eV) ionizing photons, inhibiting star formation and thereby possibly explaining the observed correlation in the morphology of dwarf galaxies with their distance from large galaxies
