Rhenium and tungsten distribution in cast and deformed molybdenum alloys

Description

Distribution of alloying elements in castings of Mo-(2-40 %) Re, Mo-10 % W, Mo-20 % W and Mo-Re-W is investigated. It is established that liquation of Re is small, but its is less than liquation of W. The degree of W liquation in a ternary alloy after unique remelting is considerably higher in the central part of the casting than in the periphery. Inhomogeneous distribution of Re and W occurring in crystallization is conserved even after casting deformation
