Magnetic field effect on thermoelectromotive force of low-temperature thermocouples
Description
The effect is studied of magnetic fields up to 5 T on termoelectromotive force of thermocouples with electrodes made of copper and on the base of the Cu+Fe and Cu+Fe+Li alloys as well as the Au+Fe, Au+Co, Pd+Cr+Ru alloys copel, chromel in the 4.2-60 K temperature range. Among Cu+Fe alloys the Cu+(0.02-0.03)%Fe alloys have the minimum sensitivity to magnetic field. The Au+2% Co alloy turns out to be practically insensitive to magnetic field in the helium-hydrogen temperature range. The minimUm temperature correction for the studied Au+Fe alloys is about 3 K
