Observations of near-infrared C2 bands in the spectra of carbon stars
Creators

Description
It is pointed out that features due to the (3,0) Phillips band of C2 in the 7715--7750 A region can be used to identify carbon stars at moderate dispersion. Also, the first observations are reported of the (2,0) Ballik-Ramsay band of C2 at 1.1726 μ. (auth)
