Synthesis and study of hexacoordinated complexes of EtSnI3 with O- and N-donor molecules

Description

Synthesis of hexacoordinated EtSnI3 complexes with a series of O-donor molecules was conducted : triphenyl phosphineoxide ( TPPO ), hexamethylphosphotriamide ( HMPTA ), diphenylsulfoxide (DPSO ), dimethylsulfoxide ( DMSO ), as well as with N-donor ligand: 2.2-bipyridine (bpy). Complex structure was studied by methods of infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. Complexes of SnI4 X bpy, SnI4 X 2DPSO, SnI4 X 2DMSO, SnI4 X 2TPPO were studied as well to compare complexing ability of EtSnI3 and SnI4. It was shown that EtSnI3 acceptor ability was lower as compared to tin tetraiodide
