Synthesis and properties of binuclear chalcorhodamide niobium complexes

Description
A study was made on interaction of binuclear NbX2Cl2 niobium chalcochlorides (X=S, Se), containing (Nb2(X2)CL8/2)∞ fragment, with potassium rhodanide, resulting to formation of complexes of K4(Nb2(X2)2(NCS)8) composition. Simular complexes with other cations (Cs+, Bu4N+) were prepared and characterized. It was assumed on the basis of the data of IR and Raman spectra of these compounds, 14N NMR spectra, that composition of (Nb2(X2)2(NCS)8)4- binuclear fragment, revealed in polymeric NbX2Cl2, was presented
