Truncation of the shell model vector space

  • 1. Toronto Univ., Ontario (Canada). Dept. of Physics

Description

A new method is suggested to truncate the shell model space based on the relative importance of various configurations determined by a fixed-JT averaging calculation. The method also generates a natural and simple procedure to renormalize the interaction for effects due to the reduction of the active space. (Auth.)
