IR absorption spectra of double Waterless potassium and rare earth sulfates of KTR(SO4)2 composition
Description
Infrared IR absorption spectra of binary sulfates of KTR(SO4)2 (TR - Pr, Nd, Sm, Tb, Dy, Er, Tm, Yb) have been studied. The frequencies have been ascribed to the vibration of the anionic and cationic sublattice of the crystal. The results of group theoretical analysis corroborate the X-ray analysis data indicative of the presence of five structural types as far as compounds KTR(SO4)2 are concerned
