Intensification of radioactive waste vitrification process in continuous-action electric furnaces
Description
Different variants of vitrification process intensification connected with application of dispersive and amorphous silica-containing raw materials as additions to vitrification components; supply of wastes with different level of dehydration for vitrification; mechanochemical charge activation in desintagrators or in vortex-layer devices, are analyzed. The possibilities of sufficient increase of the specific glass melt output and 5-10-fold decrease of cesium radionuclide ablation as compared with nonactivated charges, is shown for the latter case. Promissing variants of the vitrification process technological schemes are proposed
