Pilatus: a test facility for tritium extraction from a solid breeder blanket
Creators
- 1. Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH Technik und Umwelt (Germany)
Description
A facility is described which will be operated in the Tritium Laboratory of Karlsruhe, TLK, to test and to optimize the process steps for the extraction of tritium from two helium loops of a solid breeder blanket, i.e. the Tritium Extraction System and the Coolant Purification System. The main process components are a cryogenic cold trap, a cryogenic adsorber, and an oxidizer. It will be possible to test the process components separately as well as in combination. (authors)
