Description
A model for galaxy formation is proposed which assumes that bright galaxies from where the primordial density fluctuations exceed a high threshold. Most of the mass in the universe is uncondensed or associated with low surface brightness galaxies. The author discusses physical mechanisms and predictions for the galaxy-galaxy correlation function
