Creators
- 1. Osaka Univ., Ibaraki (Japan). Research Center for Nuclear Physics
Description
The ring cyclotron is an energy quadrupler of the present RCNP AVF cyclotron. The maximum energies of p, d, 3He, alpha and light-heavy ions are 400, 200, 510, 400 and 400·Q2/A MeV, respectively. An emphasis is placed on the production of high quality beams to enable precise experiments. The construction of the ring cyclotron was started in 1987 and first beam acceleration test is expected in March 1991. (author)
