Shadowing effect in inelastic electron scattering on 12C and 27Al nuclei at small four momentum transfer

Description
The cross section for inelastic electron scattering on 12C and 27Al nuclei has been measured for energy transfers of the virtual photon <= 6.2 GeV and four momenta 0.075 (GeV/c)2. The influence of different sources of the radiative corrections is studied in detail. Shadowing effects, which increase with decreasing values of the scalling variable x, are observed for both nuclei. (orig.)

Der Wirkungsquerschnitt fuer die inelastische Elektronenstreuung an 12C und 27Al wurde fuer Energieuebertraege virtueller Photonen <= 6,2 GeV und 4-Impulsuebertraegen zwischen (0.075 und 1.) (GeV/c)2 gemessen. Der Einfluss der verschiedenen Ursachen fuer die Strahlungskorrekturen wurde im Detail untersucht. Schatteneffekte, die mit abnehmenden Werten der Skalenvariablen x zunehmen, wurden fuer beide Kerne beobachtet. (orig.)
