Method of high resolution and high efficiency spectroscopy of ultracold neutrons scattering at low scattering probabilities
Description
The method and geometry are proposed for measuring spectra of quasi-elastically reflected ultracold neutrons at energy transfer in the range up to 200 neV at low scattering probabilities. The method consists in the use of the threshold detector with changeable altitude in the gravitational field. Achieved energy resolution is 3-5 neV. The Monte Carlo simulation of this spectrometer was performed. (author)
