Description
The French position concerning the opportunity of developing other reactor types between LWR and LMFBR reactors is recalled. The results of the Battelle report about the problem of intermediate or alternative types are analyzed. On the basis of data available for LWR and LMFBR reactors several types are compared (HTGR, MSBR, CGFR, LWBR, CANDU) according to various nuclear development scenarios

On rappelle la position de la France concernant l'opportunite de developper d'autres filieres que les filieres LWR et LMFBR. On analyse les donnees du rapport publie aux USA par Battelle sur le probleme des filieres intermediaires ou alternatives.
