Decommissioning of nuclear plants, examples of application to workshops
Description
TECHNICATOME, on behalf of UDIN as prime contractor, is involved in La Hague AT1 and ELAN 2B workshops decommissioning. ELAN 2B was a workshop for fabrication in shielded cells of Caesium 137 and Strontium 90 sources. AT1 workshop was the pilot plant for reprocessing the fuels of the French fast breeder reactor system. After a general presentation of each workshop and a specific decommissioning tactics, principal equipments items developed are described: - for ELAN 2B, PIADE machine and system for waste conditioning by epoxy painting, then embedding in thermosetting resins, - for AT1, intervention workshop, waste transfer system and intervention machine

TECHNICATOME, sous la maitrise d'oeuvre de l'UDIN, participe au declassement des Ateliers AT1 et ELAN 2B, situes a La Hague. ELAN 2B etait un atelier pour la fabrication en cellules blindees, de sources de Cesium 137, et de strontium 90. AT1 etait l'atelier pilote pour le retraitement du combustible de la filiere francaise des reacteurs a neutrons rapides. Apres une presentation generale de chaque atelier et des tactiques specifiques retenues pour leur declassement, les equipements principaux developpes specialement sont decrits: - pour ELAN 2B, la machine PIADE et la chaine de conditionnement des dechets par peinture epoxy suivie d'un enrobage dans les resines thermodurcissables, - pour AT1, l'Atelier d'intervention, le systeme de transfert des dechets et la machine d'interventionAdditional details
