Description
The properties of adiabatic superfluid flow, driven by a set of displacers P through a superleak S with a glass capillary C (i.d.=216μm, l=8.84cm) in series, are investigated. At different values of the mass-flow velocity Vsub(cap) imposed by the displacers, and the transport velocity of the normal component Vsub(n) generated by the heater H, ΔZ=Z2-Z1 and ΔT= T2-T1 are measured after stationary flow has been established. Oscillations, which can be fully explained in terms of the behaviour during steady flow, are observed. (Auth.)
