Detail design and manufacture of a prototype beryllium covered divertor baffle for ITER
Creators
Description
NNC Ltd. is currently carrying out the detail design and manufacture of a full-scale prototype divertor baffle for EFDA. This work is part of the research and development programme associated with the ITER project. The divertor baffle forms part of the plasma facing shield blanket within the vacuum vessel in ITER. The prototype consists of beryllium, dispersion strengthened (DS) copper and stainless steel, jointed together using hot isostatic processing
