Critical size of SQM bubbles inside neutron matter

Description
A nucleation of strange quark matter (SQM) phase in the neutron matter medium at zero temperature and finite pressure is considered. Bubble formation is calculated within MIT bag model for pressures typical for a neutron star interior. The critical bubble size decreases rapidly with pressure, reaching minimum at p∝20 MeV/fm3.
