Description
There are numerous methods of immobilizing the patients which have both advantages and disadvantages which are briefly described. The neofract system, used by specially trained staff, was found to be very good for radiotherapy, especially for irradiations in the head-throat-region and for immobilizing other parts of the body. Es gibt zahlreiche Verfahren der Patientenfixierung, welche Vor- und Nachteile haben, die kurz beschrieben werden. Insgesamt hat sich bei entsprechender Einarbeitung des Personals, insbesondere fuer die Bestrahlungen im Kopf-Hals-Bereich und zur Fixierung anderer Koerperregionen das Neofraktsystem fuer die Strahlentherapie sehr bewaehrt. Unter Kenntnis des Verlustes des Dosisaufbaueffektes sind die Nebenreaktionen fuer den Patienten in tolerablen Grenzen zu halten. (orig./MG)Additional details
