Description
Various types of building material were analysed for the elemental composition of uranium and thorium. The work was done using the neutron activation analysis (NAA) facility of PUSPATI, Bangi. The concentration of thorium was found to be about 3 to 5 time higher than uranium but their activities were about the same. The total activity of both element was found to be between 37 to 148 Bq/Kg
