Influence of humidity on longevity and reproduction of Sitophilus zeamais Motschulsky, 1855 (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) reared on irradiated substrate

Description
The longevity and reproduction of Sitophilus zeamais Motschulsky, 1855, reared on 31% humid and 15% (dry) irradiated rice, are studied. The irradiation was applied from a 60-Cobalt (60Co) source at the following doses: o (control), 0.2, 1, 5, 15, 30, 50, 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 kGY. (M.A.C.)

Estima-se a longevidade e a reproducao de Sitophilus zeamais Motschulsky, 1855, criado em arroz irradiado com umidade de 31% e 15% (seco). Utiliza-se uma fonte de Cobalto-60 (60Co) para irradiacao nas seguintes doses: O (testemunha); 0,2; 1; 5; 15; 30; 50; 100; 200; 300; 400 e 500 kGy. (M.A.C.)Additional details
