Measurement and calculation of shunt impedance for coupled cavity chain
Description
The shunt impedance of coupled cavity chain which is normally smaller than that of single cavity in the chain should be measured and calculated. A formula for direct calculating the shunt impedance ZT2 of the coupled cavity chain is presented according to analysis on the interaction between charged particles and electric field of cylindrical symmetry. The formula is a gencral form for calculating shunt impedance, which is also valid for single cavity. The method and results of experiment by using the formula are given, the results obtained here are identical with that of Koichi Irie's formula
