This report presents a summary of the work of the Nuclear Safety Research Department in 2001. The departments research and development activities were organized in two research programmes: 'Radiation Protection and Reactor Safety' and 'Radioecology and Tracer Studies'. In addition the department was responsible for the tasks 'Dosimetry' and 'Irradiation and Isotope Services'. Lists of publications, committee memberships and staff members are included. (au)
