Dissociative excitation of calcium in e-CaCl2 collisions
Description
Dissociative excitation of spectral lines of atoms and calcium single-charge ions of slow electrons with calcium dichloride molecules is studied through the method of extended crossing beams in combination with optical spectroscopy. It is established that excitation of ion lines proceeds more efficiently as compared to atom ones. The ratio of cross sections by dissociative and direct excitation for various levels differs essentially
