Conclusion: • USNRC Safety Goals fall into three levels of a general framework hierarchy. • Upper level safety goals provide relationships to derive the low level safety goals for use in risk-informed regulatory decision-making. • Work is on progress for defining what goals will be set for new reactors (SECY-05-0006).
