Nuclear power generation and waste conversion system and method for producing the same
Creators
Description
The invention concerns the use of underground nuclear explosion to provide energy for waste disposal and for power generation. The present invention provides for use of the stored heat energy in situ, with recovery of the waste disposal products. The heat energy may be used at a location outside the explosion site where desired temperatures are present, minimizing contamination. Application of the initial release of energy from a nuclear explosive to waste materials, particularly radioactive wastes, and means for recovery of gravitational energy from circulating fluids are included.
